I bought this so I didn't have to keep unplugging my speakers from my laptop at night to plug in my headphones.
It arrived in a little padded envelope, no wastage on packaging then, and it arrived 3 days before it was due, nice surprise! I was anticipating a light, cheaply built headphone splitter that would break after a few weeks. What I received was something with very surprisingly good build quality. It's sturdy and all the connections are gold-plated and it's a very small and discreet little doofer. I plugged it in, anticipating the mono output I'd been worried about and... voila! stereo output! great! I tried my headphones at the same time, and they were stereo too. Very impressed indeed.
All in all, fantastic little gadget, definitely recommend it and I'd willingly pay three or more times what I did for it.

After well over a year of heavy usage, the two input ports now don't hold the leads properly so the connection is a bit dodgy. I'm just about to buy a replacement, and naturally I'm going to buy exactly the same thing once again. I was never expecting such a cheap little adapter to last so long, I still highly recommend it.

The splitter works perfectly, really useful for sharing music etc.,compact and easy to use for PSP, MP3's, Nintendo DS, infact anything that will accept the 3.5mm Jack. There doesn't seem to be any loss of sound quality. The only downside is it could be easy to loose as it is so small, although I have travelled and used this whilst away and managed not to misplace it.

Solid, well made and an absolute steal at these prices.
I bought from "TheAVSeller" and they were one of the best resellers that I have come across at Amazon. OK, they were tuppence more that the cheapest reseller, but who'd notice that.
Back to the splitter - it even works nicely on the iPod without complaint and also allows two people to watch a video on the netbook without disturbing others around you.
Recommended.

Useless
Quite simply it did not work. I could not fit any earphones into one of the jacks which was obviously smaller than the other.
