Three-part drama series starring Laurence Fox. Louise (Jodie Whittaker) is a young single mother who works at a large bank. When she is given a major promotion, her ex-boyfriend Philip (Fox), a disgruntled former employee of the bank, draws a reluctant Louise into a dangerous plot to defraud the bank of $250 million. Meanwhile, undercover detective Crawford Hill (Toby Stephens) is working on a job to uncover a fraud ring and, after a chance meeting with Louise, realises that she could be the key to him solving the crime.
Synopsis
Louise Evans (Jodie Whittaker, VENUS, ST. TRINIAN'S) is a young single mum earning a low salary in at ZBG Bank, so when she is given a high profile promotion she's understandably pleased. But little does Louise know of the trap that's being snared around her, as she's drawn into a dangerous plot to defraud the bank out of £250 million. Disgruntled ex-ZBG employee Phillip Manningham (Laurence Fox, LEWIS, BECOMING JANE) manipulates his unwitting girlfriend and Louise's best friend Anna (Charlie Brooks, EASTENDERS, BLEAK HOUSE) into spilling her personal secrets, using them to pull Louse deeper into the plot. With the stakes so high, other unscrupulous characters start to appear on the scene, just as other start to mysteriously disappear. WIRED is a fast paced, intelligent thriller that will keep you gripped until the very end.

I discover this serie with this DVD and have much appreciate this financial thriller. Characters are interesting and well plaid (with a special mention to the bad boy : Laurence Fox), the final solution unexpected. As i'm french, i hope i've not loose to much details in some dialogues.

An excellent dvd. I loved the way that you just didnt see the twist at the end. All the acting was so realistic and it was so topical. It was good to see everyday actors, so familiar to us in Britain, in a different role. It was very enjoyable and I adored Toby Stephens, Lawrence fox and Charlie Brooks in this film. A strong storyline that throws you towards the end, although the final scenes could have been more interesting. If you're looking for fire and thunder it's not for you but it's a decent story, well made and everyday, up to date and it keeps your interest right to the end

All in all a first rate and fast paced thriller. At 136 minutes they got it just right with a nice little twist at the end.
Nothing to do to-night, then sit down and watch this mini-series. You will probably forget about it in 48 hours. A good nights entertainment, but nothing to loose any sleep over !

Entertaining thriller!
Enjoyed the movie... a fast paste thriller, nicely done.
Good acting specially from Mr. Toby Stephens.
