Following their 1993 release, Homage, in which the Blues Band paid tribute to their musical heroes and the music that inspired them, they then decided to follow the unplugged trend and make their next release an acoustic release.
With a well chosen range of material, that allows the warmth and personality of the band to shine through whilst giving plenty of opportunity to show off their musical abilities, this is a class album. The standout is the wry `Room and Board', an impressive solo from Paul Jones in which he melds his distinctive vocals with a superb harmonica. I say standout, but is only slightly ahead of the rest, the standard is pretty high throughout.
A great set of acoustic blues, from a band with plenty of talent and warmth.
