OK my little man is nearly 3 so he maybe considered a bit young for this book but he loves it! Trying to copy the numbers himself is definitely helping him to recognise them and he is chuffed to bits when he can point them out to me! I can see an improvement in his "writing" skill and concentration levels each time we use the book and the wipe off facility is great as it means everytime is a whole new experience - if I have to have a critisim then it would be that the pen is not attached to the book with a cord of some sort and I'd hate to loose it! Highlight for me was disovering that the ink wipes of toddlers just as easy as it does the book. I would highly recommend this (and others in the series)as a fun learning aid for both parents and toddlers.

I bought this book along with the Learn to write your Letters book. Both have been excellent for encouraging my daughter to recognize a letter or number and then to write it herself. The photo pictures are clear and colourful, easy to count and there's plenty of room to write the number in digit and word form. There are also fun exercises like dot to dot and matching numbers. The wipe clean style is very practical and means it can be used over and over again. Highly recommended.

I have a number of books in this series and find them excellent. The pen wipes off with a dry cloth if done fairly quickly, meaning that the page can be reused immediately with no drying time. My son really gained much pleasure from the books before he went to school and now in reception he is reinforcing his learning by using them.

An Amazing book.
I have bought this book for my daughter who is 3 years old and in nursery. She really enjoys doing the book you can see her pen control is getting better and better as she is doing the book. Well worth the money and would highly recommend.

this is very good for children learning to write numbers and learning about numbers, it has dot-dot which my son loves, and helps children to add up items. Its easy to wipe clean. It helped my 3yr old to write numbers and have control to hold the pen, he learned very quick with this. I would recommend this.

I choose a wipeclean book as my daughter had just started trying to trace shapes that I drew so I thought I'd start her on something useful!
I chose this one (and the matching letters one) as they had the pen included and it fits into its own clip and space on the front of the book.
Inside there are lots of pages. Each page starts with tracing a letter and space to try writing it on your own. Then it has room to trace/write the number in various simple activities. Then There is space to trace the word for the number and a number related activity such as 'circle all the threes'.
The book is bigger than I expected -a4 landscape plus a top space for the pen- but it doesnt seem too big. The pages are thinner than a baby board book but suitable for the purpose.
The only real down side with this , as with lots of board books, is the center where the pages fold. The colour has started coming off the fold part even though my daughter has only used the book a few times :( this wouldn't stop me recommending the book, just something to be aware of! That is where my four star rating comes from as I wonder how the book will fare after lots of use?

Absolutely perfect for my 3 year old. It has a carry handle, so she takes it with her everywhere.
This is her first writing book, and within 3-4 weeks she was able to attempt writing her first numbers alone.
Its got great little puzzles too, like join the dots, which she loves.
I love the fact that its wipe clean, so she can re-use it as many times as she wants.
Highly recommeneded!!!

Absolutely super book. Illustrations are fantastic and daughter 4, loves the dot to dot exercises at the end. Would favour this book instead of the letter one as the letters are written differently to those taught in school.

Plus the ink is washable too!
