I bought this for my son a year before he started school. He loved it, and used it a lot. He is now at school and is doing really well (can't say whether this is due to this book though!) My 2 year old now uses this book a lot. At first she just drew all over it, but with time she has progressed to using it properly. She traces over letters and numbers, and it is has given her a real interest in mark-making (more than just lines). I'm a playgroup nursery nurse and work with 2-4 year olds. My 2 year old is well above average for her age. Again, I cannot say that this is due to this book, but I am confident that it has helped.

I thought this would be good for my son as a tool to learn how to write. However, the ink gets erased too quickly and the worst part is that the book is so boring my son lost interest after I opened it for the third time. Now I use normal paper and pencil to teach him to write.
