What's a guy to do when his career depends on keeping the boss's virginal daughter untouched during a weekend ski vacation, especially when she's determined to lose her innocence - to him?

All Dylan McCabe has to do is babysit his boss's 25-year-old daughter for a few days at a ski lodge and the corner office with the brass nameplate on the door is his. His assignment: keep men away from her. It's been years since he's seen Nicole St. Clair, but if he remembers her correctly, too much male attention isn't going to be a problem. And once he's sure she's safe, he'll be free to enjoy the ... scenery.

Nicole St. Clair is on a mission. Finally free of her over-protective father, she is looking for a man. With any luck, she'll meet the right one on this trip - not that she'll know what to do once she finds him. Seduction is her friend's forte, not hers.

But it's time to learn. She has always been an eager student, and she's convinced Dylan is the perfect teacher.

More About the Author

Born in a small town in Scotland, Margery now divides her time between her home on a lake in Ontario, Canada and a vacation home in central Florida.

To Margery, writing in only one genre is like eating only one kind of candy. Boring. A late bloomer, Margery didn't start writing until she found herself with an empty nest, some free time, and an old standard typewriter her father found somewhere she'd rather not think about. She still has the empty nest on a lake far away from the city, but the typewriter has been replaced by a computer and free time is a thing of the past. Margery writes all across the genre board as the muse and the mood hit her, but these days she tends to stick to either historical romance or romantic suspense. When she's not writing or traveling in search of the perfect setting for her next novel, you can usually find her wielding a pair of knitting needles or a pool cue. Margery loves to hear from her readers. You can reach her at, visit her website at and follow her on Facebook and Twitter.

3.0 out of 5 stars Winterlude 12 Jun 2012

Dylan is a corporate guy who has hankered after promotion and a specific office for several years to go along with his rolex, fast car, fast women etc. He's a guy who knows what he wants or so he thinks. When he's forced to spend time with Nicole, to unknowingly babysit her while she's on vacation, his moral scruples are tested to the extremes as Nicole is doing her utmost to shed her virginity but Dylan doesn't seem to be interested - little does she know that he's there weighing up will a night of sex be worth his promotion as Nicole is his employers daughter. When he decides she's worth it he doesn't do things by half he resigns but she finds out and refuses to speak to her father and Dylan. Will all work out in the end? Ok read if cheesy and predicable is your sort of thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Warm up your nights with Winterlude 19 Oct 2011

Format:Kindle Edition
Take a virgin heroine bent on having a no-string's affair at a ski resort and a hero who must do everything he can to resist her because if he doesn't, he'll lose his job.
Scott starts the sensual tension from the very first page. It continues to sizzle sweetly throughout the entire story with believable conflict that makes you route for Nicole and Dylan's happily ever after.
You know what's coming, but question is: when will the shoe drop? And she does a magnificent job bringing these characters full circle.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Quick Read for the Snow Bunnies 14 July 2012

This novel from Margery Scott takes us into the life of a virginal young woman trying to find passion away from her overprotective father's gaze. Nicole St. Claire has planned a wonderful ski weekend with the hope that it will change her predictable life forever but her father has hired the perfect man to stop her plans. Dylan McCabe.

Every moment of this ski trip was revealed by Ms. Scott to ingratiate us with her characters. My favorite scene had to be when Nicole tried to be a social drinker with other lodgers and ruined her 'ultimate plan' to seduce Dylan McCabe. Luckily the man had deeper feelings that didn't make the trip a complete waste.

I enjoyed discovering how Nicole learned to take charge of her relationship with her father, forgive Dylan's deception, and decided to pursue her dreams. This novel has a lot of charm and a hot hero. Good Job Margery!

5.0 out of 5 stars A real page turner. 15 Jun 2012

This is a fast pace book, and I enjoyed every single moment watching these two fumbling around during their escapade. Nick trying to figure out how to seduce a man into bed, and Dylan trying to come up with excuses to stay out of her bed, without making her feel bad or feeling totally rejected.

Dylan McCabe has a real delemma; if he wants that big promotion that he's worked his butt off for...for eight long years now, then he has to bite the bullet and play babysitter for his boss' daughter. He doesn't want to do it because first of all.... it happens to be while she vacationing at ski resort for four days and he doesn't know how to ski, and secondly...he doesn't think a 25 year old woman should need a babysitter in the first place. Besides the last time he'd seen her, which was right after her high school graduation, she'd looked like the nerdy Librarian type and from what he's seen of her... he wouldn't have described her as being attractive in any way shape or form. So what were the chances, that any man at that resort would be interested in bedding this virgin anyway?

After weighing all the pro's and con's..Dylan finally agrees to go. But in order to save himself any embarrassment for not hitting the slopes and looking like a fool, he fakes an ankle injury...complete with an ace bandages and crutches.

Nicole St. Clair is on a mission to finally lose her virginity, with the help and advice from her friend who had to bow out of the trip at the last minute, due to a medical emergency... So her she is; in a van heading from the airport heading towards the resort. For the first time in a long time, she's finally free of her over-protective father, and she is looking for a man to get the job done.. With any luck, she'll meet the right one on this trip - even though it's not likely that she'll know what to do once she does find the perfect person to lose her virginity too.. After all- seduction is her friend's forte, not hers. When she spots Dylan on the van ride to the resort, she's convinced Dylan will be the perfect person to lose her virginity too.

Would I recommend this book? Yes.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too graphic 16 April 2012

I found this story too predictable and in some instances way too graphic. Some details are just best left to does not add to the storyline. I got bored with it very quickly as it has no real substance
