About the Author

Enid Blyton is one of the best-loved children's authors with over 700 titles published. In 1922, her collection of poems was published. Aged 27, Enid married Hugh Pollock and moved to London. They had two children, and soon after Enid wrote her first novel, The Adventures of the Wishing-Chair. Enid divorced Hugh after almost 20 years of marriage, and married Kenneth Waters in 1943. Throughout the 40s and 50s, Enid wrote books at a colossal pace: adventure stories, mysteries, magical stories, farming stories, stories for younger children, best-selling series like The Famous Five and Noddy. Enid fell ill with Alzheimer's disease and she died in 1963. Pamela Cox is a life-long fan of Enid Blyton's work. She has also written three books in the St Clare's series.

My 7 year old daughter is obsessed by Enid Blyton and has read & adored the Malory Towers series. She has thoroughly enjoyed these additional books by Pamela Cox which fit in perfectly with the Enid Blyton style. She would certainly recommend these - and has persuaded half her class to read them!

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!! 31 Jan 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a brilliant book about girls at school having feasts and playing tricks it is a very good book that sets a good example to older people it is very exciting and dramatic with shocks and surprises it is a very sensible, reliable book. It shows that you should be honest and friendly,to own up if you have done something bad,not to sneak on friends or accuse them without real proof. A BRILLIANT book recommended to ages 8-14.Definitely buy it!!!!!!!!BEST BOOK I EVER READ

5.0 out of 5 stars M Review 17 April 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I've only read the sample, but it sounds great! I had the others, in which Darrell attended Malory Towers. Same kind of greetings, remember June and of course Felicity. I might want to buy this book!

Pamela Cox writes them just as well as Enid blyton. She uses the same old/posh style of writing so I really can't tell a difference from her or Enid. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Good nostalgic read
Really enjoyed this book. Was a bit sceptical about someone taking over from Enid Blyton, but was pleasantly supprised and it was a very nostalgic read.
