If you are a fan of the previous Winter Chill offerings from Hed Kandi you will probably find this disappointing.
I love the previous 6 releases and can honestly say of the 178 tracks on them there is only 1 I am not keen on.
CD1 has elements from the previous releases but CD2 is more a beach mix than chill and by track 3 I'd had enough.
Winter Chill was always promoted as the 'Darker Side of Chill', CD2 doesn't even come close it's way to upbeat!.

In my books HK,s chillout range has been my top choice from The vaste Hed Kandi Range. For the plumetting Siberian temperatures of Winter 2012 this album couldn't have arrived at a better time. The collection is diverse and crosses and challenges downtempoe barriers from indie to laid back house. Disc 2 is more up tempoe and followes the Nu disco Kandi direction , but the whole theme is high quality electronica and some of the most refreshing grooves you will experience to dust away the snow flakes in to the late wind down hours. New names away from the regular HK faves, such as Juveniles, Fink, and The Magician, are at the cutting edge of there genre. Approach Winter Chill 2012 with an open mind , if it doesn't kick in play it again . Selections like this proove how Kandi have developed in to the quality dance music industry it is in just over a decade.
