From the popular DEAD FAMOUS series of books `Winston Churchill and His Great Wars`.

`Yes, Winston Churchill is dead famous for being the Prime Minister who won the Second World War and saved Britain from the Nazis. ...Most people agree that Winston Churchill is the greatest leader that Britain has ever had..... , he was bold, brilliant and just a teensy bit big-headed. This earned him some criticism, but luckily Winston was always funnier than his enemies. Some of his best jokes are collected in this book.........

Read on.......to find out how Winston changed the course of the 20th Century. It's a story full of blood, battles and whopping big cigars.....'

189 pages dedicated to the life of the British Prime Minister, who won the Second World War. Split into chapters:-

Introduction

Timeline - the early years

Winston grows up

Winston at a gallop

Vote for Winston!

Winston at war

The House that Winston built

Timeline 2 - the glory years

Winston in the wilderness

Winston v Hitler

Winston and the Big Three

V for Victory

Winston's last hooray

Winston retired

Written in a variety of fonts with humorous black and white cartoon illustrations throughout, this is a good `follow-on' from the `Famous Lives/Famous People' series, for an older child.

Churchill Made Fun 9 Dec 2008
By Jennie Lyn - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this book for my nine-year-old since we went to Blenheim Palace last year and I wanted to educate him a bit more on Churchill. What a GREAT, fun, amusing book. I love it. It's kind of "Diary of a Wimpy Kid"-meets-real-history.

Now I have to let HIM read it -- though it was he who led me to the "Dead Famous" and "The Knowledge" series, having been given two of them on British Airways flights ... one of which was Alan Macdonald's wonderful "Triffic Chocolate."
