I bought this brush for my husband as he paints small warhammer models. He will now not use any other brushes. I have bought him other sizes in the series. He likes the size and material the brush is made of, I believe its sable hair. The quality of the brush is exceptional and as a miniature painter it is important that the brush hairs do not fray or separate and these brushes are amazing. You certainly get a great product and if you do detailed painting these brushes are a must have.

I've been painting minitures for almost 20 years now and the Winsor and Newton range of brushes, for me, have stood out as by far the best brushes I have ever used, and I've used a lot of brushes. If looked after properly, the durability of the Kolinsky Sable is second to non, even after a full year of use the old brushes still hold their shape and deliver paint smoothly and evenly.

I bought these brushes for my husband who has been painting miniature for around 17 years or so and he now wont use any other brush and believe me, he has tried MANY brushes in the past. These are fantastic for detailed works and hold their shape which means the hairs do not fray or separate. A must have when painting miniatures as one wee hair out of place on the brush can cause major mistakes when painting a miniature. A fantastic brush and although they are expensive for paint brushes, they are well worth it in the long run as these last. And essentially will save you money in the long term as my husband doesnt need to constantly buy new brushes due to separating hairs. These are amazing and highly recommended by my husband. If you are very particular about your miniature painting these are the brushes to go for.
