A good balance of well crafted paintings balanced with the step by step instructions that will bring you up to his level. After being in the doldrums for a bit I picked up this book and found myself raring to get going again. Everything he does looks good and feels accessible. Whether you want to do figures, animals, flower studies, landscapes, whatever, this book will get you going.
