Summit Showdown is the new puzzle sensation! From football to film, from soaps to celebrities, Summit Showdown will test your general knowledge and creativity as you try to come up with unique answers that score the most points. You are given 2 minutes to come up with answers to 5 general knowledge questions, keeping in mind how many points your answer is worth. The key to Summit Showdown is the Summit scoring system, where the letter A is worth 1, B is worth 2, Y is 25 and Z is 26. So for example ‘Abba’ is worth 6 and ‘Zoo’ is worth 56. If you think your unique answer is the highest scoring you can go into the Showdown and see who wins the game! So the question is are you IN… or OUT?!

You don't have to be great with numbers to play Summit Showdown. From our free online Summit calculator, to traditional pen and paper, there are different ways to work out who wins the Showdown. There's even a special text message service where you send off your answers and the scores come back within 10 seconds! Let your family choose!

When this game states that is a texting game, it is not joking. To play, you do have to send texts. Fair enough, these are only at network rates, but you will not find this out unless you buy it.

I bought it as a gift for my brother ( who hates mobiles and uses them as little as possible ), it is not going to be suitable for him. It seems as though the descriptions of the game hold this information back.

The idea of the game is of course good fun and it no doubt works well, but the public should be made absolutely clear what they are buying.

Bought this for my eldest son's birthday and we've already had endless hours of fun with it playing as a family. Never laughed so much during a board game! ! !

Just seen the critic of the "texting" element, but it does state it on the box that you can text your answers to get your scores. We started off the first couple of games by calculating the numbers ourselves as we didn't feel the need to text in, but we found the texting element adds a real suspense to the game as you wait a couple of seconds for your scores!

Genius game, love it! Will get this for friends for Christmas without doubt! !

Summit Showdown
This game invovles texting by telephone. This is not advertised and is only apparent once you have bought it. This seems to be rather deceitful to say the least. I shall return this game unopened and replace it with something else, as we don't own a mobile phone. BE WARNED!!
