Great Family Game 4 Jan 2012

This is a word game with a twist and really gets you thinking both words and numbers so excellent for children (great for adults too). It's become a family favourite since we bought our first one and we gave as Christmas presents this year. It was played non-stop!

I bought this for my Year 2 class to give them independent practice with making words as it's like a junior, junior scrabble with no complicated rules. I used it as an independent group activity during guided reading and my class really liked it. I'd teach it to two or three children then get them to teach to rest of class. Watching small people trying to get it all back into the pear case is also hilarious!
