Not the best of its type
on 10 November 2014
This robust light & music nursery soother from Tomy is less appealing than some others.
It produces a range of five lullabies and an attractive (if unfocussed), projected light effect on walls and ceiling. Sound quality is rather tinny, though, and is arguably over-loud, with no volume control. The stars, which can be on without the lullabies, fade in and out but don't move. You can set a 10 or 20-minute timer.
It is colourful but made of hard plastic with unpleasant, ridged joins along the side seams, so doesn't make a particularly attractive ornament. As for Winnie the Pooh, while he might appeal to older children and adults, there is little meaning for a baby.
The pre-installed batteries are easily replaced. You'll need a small cross-head screwdriver and four AAs (try Procells, made by Duracell and great value, or buy some rechargeables such as Recyko).
I struggle to recommend this unless you find it for less than £10.
