Miss Labelle is superb. I love her 'soaring' voice, she is an excellent live performer. Unfortunately sometimes, I feel that some of the material on her albums is sometimes not good enough. She deserves better. Having said that...On my own, Sleep with me tonight , Oh people and especially the title track, Winner in you are truly magnificent. Other tracks average, but all in all worth having.

It always amazes me how many people still dont seem to acknowledge "La Belle" as a fanatastic perfomer and vocalist. Unfortunately she does not seem to travel to far home so us Brits miss out on some fantastic concerts and have to settle for music CD's, which is probably why she isnt as BIG here in the uk. When she sings you really feel that she is singing the songs because she believes in them. many so called artists may well sing but certainly lack the passion. this is a fab eighties album, which includes the stunning "Oh People" & "On my Own"

I can't really understand why not many people have bothered to review this fantastic album.
Anyway, this album features some great songs, excellent production and, of course, Patti's superb, soaring voice.
Highly recommended, especially at this price!
