About the Author

Pamela K Carron was born the sixth of eleven children to Troy and Catherine Rushing. She left home at the age of sixteen, living with older siblings where she became the youngest employee of South Central Bell. Working as a long distance operator by night and attending school by day until she eventually dropped out of school. After marrying the father of her five children she did however complete her GED and went on to study the Liberal Arts and English, where she developed her love of putting words together in delightful short stories and poems. Divorce and the aftermaths of concentrating on working and rearing her five children, caused the writing to be put away, only to return when the children were adults and she had remarried. Having the time and the motivation, Pamela again pursued her love of writing fiction. Unfortunately fate decided her stories would once again be shoved back to the back burner as she was diagnosed with an inherited eye disease, Fuchs' Dystrophy. No cure except for corneal transplants, Pamela determinedly spent two years waiting for the first of two transplants, slowly writing her first novel, And The Shadows Dim. It was followed by a sequel, A Whisper of the Sun after her left eye corneal transplant. While waiting for the second transplant, she wrote the latest book, Wings of Deception, which has captured the hearts of many of her faithful readers. The pull of emotions, the excitement of the intrigue and love, as well as the spiritual influence will also capture yours!

2.0 out of 5 stars Needs a thorough editing. 28 Aug. 2012

Nice little elementary scifi plot but atrocious grammar and spelling. I would have asked for a refund but it was free. I would not download it again. Two stars given for maintaining decent language and the story would interest some preteens maybe.

3.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining spiritual warfare...but 26 May 2014

This is a familiar cops and robbers thriller with Godly and enemy characters. It is a fun read, exciting until the really bad ending. The ending is not bad or nasty. It's just so lame. It's pretty much like Ms. Carron couldn't couldn't come up with anything realistic, so she just bailed entirely.

This was a book that I had a very hard time putting down when I had to take care of other responsibilities. I wanted to read non-stop until the very end, although my schedule would not permit me to do so. Wonderful book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wings of Deception 15 Nov. 2011
By Delilah - Published on Amazon.com

Great read!!! This, my first Christian based novel to ever read has made me a fan for life. The author brought the many characters together as their lives intertwined into a nucleus of mystery, intrigue and an explosive unexepcted ending making the reader thirst for more. A definate thumbs up for Ms Carron in her effort to draw readers into her world as a Christian through reading. My only question is, when can we expect the sequel?
