This was bought as a gift for me. It comes with two small fermenting vessels (6 litre tubs), a pipe, mixing spoon, hydrometer, bottle stoppers, and ingredients. This was ideal because I don't have a lot of space. I followed the instructions and got everything set up, leaving the wine to ferment in my boiler cupboard for a week. One thing I will say - and this is noted in the instructions - it's very likely that it will froth over so you need to make sure it's on a surface that's easy to clean. I put mine on a towel but a large tray would do I suppose. If you leave it on the carpet, wood, or some other surface that's not easy to clean or can get stained then you're going to have a bad time. Also you will need at least 6 wine bottles to decant from the main fermenting vessel. Since screw-top bottles are risky business when home brewing and I didn't have any cork-sealed bottles handy, I went out and bought a Youngs-branded 6-pack of clear bottles.

The wine itself was surprisingly good - quite sweet (I might have been generous with the sugar) and it seemed way, way stronger than 11% (that's a good thing).

Just produced first batch. A beautiful light wine, tastes stronger than 11%. My advice for anyone making wine is sterilse, sterilise and sterilise. Keep all equipment surgically clean with sodium metabisulphate and/or boiling water.
