***Visual***
I recieved the Black wired version of this controller.
It looks very smart, and the only way you could distinguish this from an official controller visually is that there is no logo on the centre button, where normally there would be an 'x'.
***Tactile***
I was immediately surprised at this pad's build quality as soon as I held it in my hand;it has a nice chunky feel as opposed to the hollow feel that many knock-off controllers have.
The buttons are all nice and clicky, with no response issues, and while the triggers are not as springy and smooth as an official controller, they are not bad at all.
The anologue sticks are extremely nice! Responsive, springy and made of a non-slip but also comfortable material easily comparable to that of the official pad (It is EXTREMELY satisfying to click the sticks in).
***Software/compatability issues***
None so far, having used it on my PC (Windows 7 64-bit), all buttons show an excellent degree of responsivity in the Windows controller manager.
So far I have tested this on Bioshock, Project 64 emulator, and I will soon try this on Batman: Arkham Asylum.
It did not fully work while playing The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion but I understand that this is a general problem with Oblivion and to be honest I couldn't be bothered to sort it out.
I might eventually try this controller with all of my other Steam games and post again, but for now I would check if your game has any known compatability issues.
***Value***
I payed £15 for my controller and I am happy with it.
I would not pay any more, but it certainly beats paying twice the price for an official one, and it's performance is to a very high standard.
***Final Thoughts***
This is a controller that is perfect for the gamer who has just a few games he/she needs a controller for (In my case Project 64 and Arkham Asylum) and is not prepared to spend the outrageous price for an official pad.
I was very impressed with mine, and would reccommend it to my friends as a cheaper alternative.
I cannot comment on the longevity of this controller, however, and this could be where it falls down.
Frequent or constant use could wear out this controller like many other knock-offs, but until I have used it more I will not know.
This is in no way a perfect replacement but you could do alot worse!
