This book gave me an insight of how children interpret the traumas that they experience.Individual case studies explained ways of working with children to help them release the hurts they had experienced in a positive and practical way .I have recomended it to many other professionals parents and carers who have the task of helping children understand their often confusing and abusive past experiences.I strongly recommend anyone who works with children or is thinking of working with children should read this.

Dr Oaklaner brings the children and the therapy room to our homes. She writes about how the child can be helped in such a way you feel you are having a conversation with her. The book does exactly what is says on the cover and opens the window to the children. An absolute must for any theraputic work with children.

By Connie
Format:Paperback
I've wanted this book for years but I'm disappointed with the copy I got because the first time I opened it the back binding split so as I use it the pages will begin to fall out and I plan to use it alot in my work. The content of the book is excellent.
