Review

Sacred Harp very nearly threaten to complete music itself with their distinctive, shimmering Norwegian majesty --Jon Hillcock, NME Radio & Xfm

Norway's Sacred Harp really could soundtrack Twin Peaks... they have the same uncanniness; a sense of something familiar and yet not quite right. --Josh Hall, The Line Of Best Fit (Song Of The Day)

Terrifyingly intense... from echoey, sparse meditation to contrapuntal squalls that tread between sludge metal and new wave's darker, gothic edges. Sacred Harp's Window's a Fall is out their on its own. --Keiran Tyler, The Arts Desk

CD Description

It's hard to believe "Window's A Fall" is the debut album by Sacred Harp, such is the assuredness and maturity on display throughout it's eight kaleidoscopic tracks. From atonal blues to teutonic prog. free-jazz to delicate lullabies to arena-sized indie-rock, the album writhes, wriggles and entices, all the time refusing to be pinned down to a single sound. A surprise hides around every corner, and this album spreads to fills the imagination of the listener with sound and colour. First released by Trust Me Records in Norway, we utterly fell in love with the album after being handed a copy by Trust Me founder Marit Karlsen at by:Larm Festival 2011. Brainlove offered to act as a partner label to help spread the word about this stunning record in the UK, where it is already attracting attention from writers at MOJO, NME and Drowned In Sound amongst many others.
