This is THE nozzle for cupcake/cake decorating. I love it, it came packaged well and I can see myself using it for years. I team it up with blue disposable piping bags (link at bottom) for ease and don't use a coupler as it's not needed (although I'm tempted to get one if I ever need more than one kind of icing at the same time).
I've created pretty swirls, hedgehog effects, rose-like effects and when I make a batch of cupcakes I find myself experimenting too see what else is possible.
I usually use a whipped up Buttercream:
250g Unsalted Butter
450g Icing Sugar
2-4 Tbsp Milk or Single Cream (thinned out till the right consistency for piping)
- Make it a vanilla Buttercream by adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Make a chocolate Buttercream do as above, then add 50g of good Cocoa Powder and adjust consistency with milk/cream again.
These disposable piping bags are awesome, I bought a pack of 20 just to test them out and loved them:Classikool Savoy Disposable Icing Piping Bag pack of 20
