I am from the UK and have been purchasing Wilton Bake easy for the past 3 years for my Nordic-ware bunt pans. Not knowing this spray contains *LECITHIN*. The sprays always come with a sticker displaying the ingredients on, but with renovations going on, the tin became soiled there fore I washed it and the sticker rubbed off and underneath printed on the tins list of ingredients :
canola oil, LECITHIN, propellent (isobutane and propane).
I'm presuming everything food-wise in the UK has to contain a full in-depth list of ingredients. Where as American FSA allows a limited list of ingredients or phrases the UK don't use.
Wilton Bake Easy does work as majority of people have put. But after some time as stated by *NORDIC WARE* LECITHIN does start to leave a gummy residue on bakeware! Now for cheap bakeware from the region or £1 -£10 thats not a problem, they are cheap enough to throw after a few years but....If you are paying in the region of £30 -£50 for a Bundt pan (they are worth it, they'll out-live me and probably my kids) then you want them to last so..
I would definitely heed the Manufacturers warning!
I am now going to try to remove all the film and hope my pans are not ruined!
I hope this review helps other Nordic-Ware Bundt pan owners/ purchasers. I would be interested to know how many have used this and for how long? has this ruined their pans?
* I WOULD LIKE THE UK SUPPLIERS OF BAKE EASY TO PUT THE AMERICAN LIST OF INGREDIENTS ON THE INFORMATION SECTION OF THE PAGE * So when people buy american pans such as Nordic Ware we can make knowledge based decisions.
