I am from the UK and have been purchasing Wilton Bake easy for the past 3 years for my Nordic-ware bunt pans. Not knowing this spray contains *LECITHIN*. The sprays always come with a sticker displaying the ingredients on, but with renovations going on, the tin became soiled there fore I washed it and the sticker rubbed off and underneath printed on the tins list of ingredients :

canola oil, LECITHIN, propellent (isobutane and propane).

I'm presuming everything food-wise in the UK has to contain a full in-depth list of ingredients. Where as American FSA allows a limited list of ingredients or phrases the UK don't use.

Wilton Bake Easy does work as majority of people have put. But after some time as stated by *NORDIC WARE* LECITHIN does start to leave a gummy residue on bakeware! Now for cheap bakeware from the region or £1 -£10 thats not a problem, they are cheap enough to throw after a few years but....If you are paying in the region of £30 -£50 for a Bundt pan (they are worth it, they'll out-live me and probably my kids) then you want them to last so..

I would definitely heed the Manufacturers warning!
I am now going to try to remove all the film and hope my pans are not ruined!

I hope this review helps other Nordic-Ware Bundt pan owners/ purchasers. I would be interested to know how many have used this and for how long? has this ruined their pans?

* I WOULD LIKE THE UK SUPPLIERS OF BAKE EASY TO PUT THE AMERICAN LIST OF INGREDIENTS ON THE INFORMATION SECTION OF THE PAGE * So when people buy american pans such as Nordic Ware we can make knowledge based decisions.
Thank you

This is actually a canola oil spray and contains no fat, carbohydrate or protein so it ticks every box dietwise. I expected it to be a fine spray like Frylight but it actually comes out more like a fine foam and it wasn't easy to achieve an even coating but my bundt cake just dropped out of its tin first time. The amount I had to use suggests the tin will last a long time too so the price is well justified.

Does the job very effectively but the spray does not come out of the can as an even jet but tends to be globular necessitating amanual wipe on the pan to disperse evenly.

This product is highly convenient, especially for small or fiddly moulds. I've just used it for a batch of 72 mini-muffins that I made using the Silicone Bakeware Professional 24 Cup Canape/Mini Muffin Pan by WellBake. Heavy Duty Non-Stick Silicone + 10 Year Guarantee. Most of the cakes came out ok, but a few were less than presentable, despite very careful extraction.

The results are comparable to if I had used 'Fry Light Sunflower Oil Spray' that you can get in any supermarket for about £1.70, and a light dusting of flour.
Well worth a try, speedy and no opportunity for unsightly pockets of flour, but all in all and expensive novelty.

I bought this to use with my giant cupcake pan, after reading some reviews I was a bit worried my cake would stick, this was excellent I just used a light spray all over the tin and once cooled the cake literally fell out with harldy any crumbs, highly recommended.

If you've got a complicated shaped cake tin, or even a regular square or round, using this spray I first found in America makes cake release easy - so easy to use, just spray on, and works brilliantly every single time.

When you spray this product on to your bakeware, it doesn't look very appetising - but it definitely works a treat and it's so much quicker and easier than having to grease and line your tins! I also use it to stop eggs sticking to my microwave egg poacher!

i just purchased this product after years of baking and i have to admit that even though it costs more than the usual flour/fat dusting it is worth every penny. i make alot of whisked sponges and as they contain no fat and are much lighter and more fragile than a madeira this has made them pop out of all the tins i have baked them in so far. this is great if you dont mind the cost or if you are an occasional baker but if you bake quiet a bit the Wilton Cake Release might be more cost effective.
thrilled with these products
