Product Description

The Wilson Hyper Hammer 145 is a perfect choice for players who like to hit hard and look for excellent control. It has a frame that weighs 145g (5.1oz) and incorporates a 75.6in2 (488cm2) head with a 12 x 20 string pattern. The Hyper Hammer 145 squash racket is head heavy balanced to provide players with more stability and spin and features Power Holes technology that improves power and enhances the sweet spot. Hyper Carbon, a material used primarily by the aerospace industry, makes the racket very light, incredibly stiff and perfectly stable. A 3/4 racket cover is included.

Excellent racquet for the price, I've been using it for a few months with no problems at all, very powerful with a large sweet spot. I'm glad I finally decided on this one.

Its a shame that Wilson have altered the head from the last couple that I purchased. There are now less strings and because of that and the way they are tensioned they broke after only half a dozen games which was very disappointing to say the least. Have had it restrung by the professional at the Club who says that they should be tensioned to 28lb but this isn't tight enough and they move around far too much and you have to constantly pull them back into place. Wilson should go back to the old design those rackets played well and lasted a whole lot longer than the new one's.

I judge a squash racket by how it performs over a long period, so this is very premature. The racket arrived very quickly, so full marks for that. The first thing you need to do with this racket is get a better handle grip, since the original is too narrow for my hand (and I don't have a big hand), and also the supplied grip is quite smooth and you would be likely to lose the racket if you have sweaty hands. Otherwise, having played with it 4 times now it feels good to play with. Responds well if you hit the sweet spot. Ask me again in 12 months time.

Good fast delivery from the Seller.

However the racquet broke after 15 minutes of use. No walls were hit, 5 minute warm up,10 minutes into the first game and it snapped just at the top of the handle.

Have requested a refund from the seller and will look at a different make now.
