Hello and thanks for taking the time to check out my bio. I'm a lawyer and have been involved in criminal defence work so long that I can remember when the Scots Criminal Justice System was regarded as the best in the world; the days when it was "better that ten guilty men go free than one innocent man be convicted" before the Scottish Government decided that it didn't really matter who was convicted so long as the newspapers were happy and it didn't cost much.
The Best Defence Series of legal thrillers is a fictional account of the trials and tribulations of defence lawyer, Robbie Munro, set in my home town of Linlithgow in Central Scotland and based on some of the characters and unusual cases I have come across over many years in practice.
