I came across Ramits blog one day after having financial difficulty for a long time. Distrusting automatically the scammy sounding name I decided to read the content and I was blown away by a lot of the simple counter intuitive advice on personal finance and even making money (read his best £20 you'll ever spend post and I guarantee you'll buy this book) It's helped me with my finances and I'm going on a foreign holiday in a couple of weeks for the first time in 8 years because the book helped me so much. And even the books he recommends are great and helpful in starting business's. So I tell you to go out and read this book even if you think you are financially smart this book is an eye opener to the type of finances and money you should be having not what you do have and advice on improving your career and money making (not just money saving) skills too.
So I 100% recommend people to go out there and buy it

Quite a lot of reasonable advice in this book, mixed in with a lot of waffle. It is also intended for the American market.
All the advice that he offers is freely available, he hasn't come up with any of it himself. Maybe your first step to getting rich should be to not buy this book and look at websites like Motley Fool and moneysaving expert and lots of others.

This is a great book for the ordinary person who wants to get into money ladder.
This is one of those books I didn`t initially care to read because of the too flashy title(other being 7 habits of highly effective people). As the saying goes-don`t judge a book by its cover-even it is too flashy to be good.
As many critics has pointed out-this might be common advice that is freely available anywhere. But as an ordinary person, I haven`t found these advices before--and more importantly, I wouldn`t have realized the importance of it. Ramit clearly points out what to be done and explains why.
The best thing about this book is that it puts a lot of "common" advice into a highly readable single whole.(It clearly says what to do - and not think positive to be rich philosophy although I have nothing against it) Particularly the automation system which takes a lot of money/savings worry out of your mind. It also gives clear concise information about share market-for the first in my life I understood the difference between shares,bonds,funds etc.

This book contains advice that is just common sense. For example, on page 41 we are told "pay more money to the card with the highest APR, because it's costing you the most". Read more

Every young&old should read this book
Already with first 50 pages it gives you clear idea from what you should start to do right now to save money and become rich(er) at least when not rich. For sure better off. Read more

A cheesy title but an interesting book
I gave it 4 stars, even though it's a good and interesting book it's very oriented to the US. So some of the examples he gave aren't 100% applicable here in the UK. Read more
