Product Description

Bergerac-obsessed Will Smith has one guiding force in his life - an audiobook of John Nettles reading the ancient Chinese text of the Tao. He has always used this audio to illuminate problems in his life, to find a way through when the road seems blocked. Now, Will brings the Tao of Bergerac to his audience, as each week he navigates the minefield of love, justice, individuality, and machismo with the help of some special guests from his favourite TV show.

Will Smith is a vastly experienced and acclaimed writer who has contributed to some of the funniest television comedies in the last few years, including Armando Iannucci's Time Trumpet and the multi-award-winning The Thick of It. He can currently be seen performing alongside Paul Whitehouse and Harry Enfield on BBC1's Ruddy Hell! It's Paul and Harry.

Hilarious 18 Feb 2008
Format:Audio CD
I loved this when it was on Radio 4 last summer. Comedian Will Smith has found an audiobook of John Nettles reading the book of ancient Chinese wisdom, the Tao, and uses the recordings to make sense of his life. Very funny mixture of stand-up and studio guests with some great comedians involved including Matt Holness (Garth Marenghi), Adam Buxton and Dan Tetsell. The bit at the end of each episode where he gets the audience to shout out random names of films, and then links each film to an episode of Bergerac in six moves or less - all I will say is it has to be heard to be beleived. A comic tour de force.

Jim Bergerac (John Nettles) reads the Tao and Will Smith relates the hillarous effects of living his life to it.
