Product Description

2014 album from the New York-based Rock trio. WE WILL REIGN - part joyous awakening, part indictment of unnecessary suffering, part astonishing love-letter, and part full-throated invitation to a revolution - Is not so much a map as a beckoning, not a completed script, but fragments of an unfinished improvisation. Every line calls us together and invites us to create, each gestures toward a world that could be but is not yet; every note offers another door you might squeeze through in search of the rest of your life. Turn the knob, slip the lip, dive headfirst into the wreckage - now there you are. Founded by New York City natives Delila Paz and Edgey Pires, The Last Internationale have quickly forged a reputation for poetic, socially conscious songs and explosive live performances. Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), noted, ''The Last Internationale are one of my favorites in the next wave of rebel rockers. They're raw and real and mix East Village rock sensibilities with Battleship Potemkin firepower.''

I've been waiting for a band to come along & shake modern day music out of it's stupor & this band hit me right between the eyes. I saw them when they supported Neil Young earlier this year & was instantly blown away. I'm very much a fan of the politically charged bands of the 60's & The Last Internationale are very much a throwback to this sort of music - socially and morally aware, prepared to sing about the injustices that happen throughout the world & it's just refreshing to come across a band that has a message to spread. This, to me, is what music should be all about. The album itself is fantastic.

Well after seeing this group supporting Robert Plant last week I was so totally blown away by their performance and the songs, I had to dash back to the foyer of the Wolverhampton Civic and buy the album from the merchandise counter (sorry Amazon - I couldn't wait!). Let's be clear here - you have to buy this album if you consider yourself a real music fan and by that I mean real, bona-fide honest to goodness rock that is genuinely fresh, exciting and as sexy as hell. It has to be said that I couldn't take my eyes off Delila Paz for a second - what a presence and, my God, what a voice! She played a solo acoustic opener then played bass and harmonica for the rest of the set. And she has the best female voice I have heard. Ever. Put it this way, it's the first time I genuinely didn't want the support group's set to end, they are that good. This album is sheer class from start to finish - and at only 37 minutes long it has no time for fillers. If you aren't one of the lucky ones to witness them on the Robert Plant tour, buy this album now and believe me, you will be astounded. Suprise Album of the Year for me.

I bought this album after seeing the band supporting Robert Plant on his UK tour. Their live performance was a force of nature and whilst this album is very good (if a little short) it doesn't quite capture that live energy in studio form. Every track is well produced but they do sound like they are straining at the leash at times. I did find it odd that they included a cover version given the short running time and particularly as their live set included other songs that were surely worthy of inclusion - their self penned songs are excellent. Having said that, this is a decent debut album that I would recommend to others as they are certainly one to look out for in the future.

Ordered this album from USA after seeing the band supporting Robert Plant. They were excellent live and the album is just as good. Really rocking trio with an awesome girl vocalist. The album came quickly and at a very good price. Check them out - these guys deserve more exposure!

Wow! After hearing Wanted Man I took a punt and the album has not disappointed. Punchy political songs take you back to another era when artists put their opinion of the establishment across.

Excellent album: Delilah's vocals remind me of Grace Slick's sometimes with the power and the passion in their delivery. Excellent music to drive to!
