Sorry, other reviewer! Got to disagree. I'm defending this cd. If anyone liked The Outsiders(and who wouldn't?), and likes true 76-80 punk, this cd is very, very good. It should grace everyone's collection. Why? The writing skills are there, the execution is there and the variety of composition is there. There are fast songs and slow ones, in the vein as I said, of The Outsiders, but also of The Carpettes.I would have given 5 stars, except that there are two songs on, which sound a little as though they were taken from a cassette tape, and the background is a bit like small waves arriving at the shore, then disappearing again. Shame! Both of those songs are great. There is no stand out track....all are as good as each other. Whoever tried to force these guys into the Mod mould was wrong to do that. They were not even power-pop....they were truly punk, but were better than most. They didn't blur into the heavily subscribed background, but were at the front, something slightly different, as were, yes, The Buzzcocks, Clash, Ruts,Punishment of Luxury, Crisis, Raped and so on.They were hooks to hang your coat on, NOT the wall behind them. So, give them a go. I have a phenomenal punk collection, and this has enhanced it. You won't find Anti Pasti and The Exploited in said collection...only genuine, artful punk....from The Dead Boys to Punilux, Dangerous Girls to Spizz, Johnny and the Lubes to 1st generation Ultravox!....I am very glad I bought this cd...this DOUBLE cd...Happy to rate it highly. Band members.....if you read this.....WEL DONE!
