5.0 out of 5 stars best wildlife travel book ever 22 Nov 2011
Format:Paperback
This is the most fantastic travel book. Not only does it inspire you to see the wildlife in a safe and ecologically friendly way, but it gives you all the information you could possibly need to enable you to do so. The photographs are beautiful but more than this it is a wonderfully good read. If you follow this top travel writer's work you will find many of his best travel stories included. Fantastic reading for cold winter evenings. I couldn't reccommend it highly enough

1.0 out of 5 stars wildlife 5 Jun 2012
Format:Paperback
To say this book is a presentational mess is a kindness. For a start a) it is the wrong size =(8.5 by 7.5 inches)-it should have been twice that size.b)it is so small and thick it is difficult to handle c)the type size is far too small and difficult to read d)many of the pictures are so small there is no definitione)the book pretends to cover the world but excludes China,Moncolia,Japan Middle East,Russia and allits ex sattelites except Estonia and most of Africa north of the equator.
The book has 3 sections - there is useful information in the first 2 but the third is a waste of time.
Definately not recommended.
