This is my favourite JD album. It is helping to save the world's wildlife and also giving everyone the chance to see the real John Denver. Just a small intimate audience and all Johns warmth and auro comes shining through. There are some old favourites but also some wonderful new songs, especially "A Song For All Lovers". The world lost a great friend in John when he so tragically left us but this concert is a chance for young and old to enjoy the great music and vision of John Denver

This video concert is absolutely brilliant! The only thing i missed was the absence of the small talk between songs about the songs and other stuff that was i nstead replaced with interview, Not that the interviews werent good, just that both would be nice

I also have the CD of the widlife concert and was surprised to find the DVD slightly different. I enjoyed the audio CD and found the DVD better, he appeared to enjoy himself the audience enjoyed it and enjoyed it, only seem to play the DVD now days. The concert was allowed to flow with a few small interviews and comments in between, the balance was fine. This is a must have for anyone who likes John Denver, seems like I have a John Denver CD for sale now.

I agree with other reviewers this is a brilliant music DVD as JD was always a great favourite of mine. It perhaps means more to me however because in recent years I have become totally deaf and my LP's have just gathered dust. This great DVD therefore has really brought a smile to my face again as it is subtitled throughout (apart from one track) including John's interviews and comments. I really recommend this and I wife says the sound quality is great to.

Purchased the CD many years ago and I have always thought it fantastic so I thought I would buy the DVD. The songs are obviously just has good on it but I was very disappointed with the fact that a lot of John talking to the audience between tracks, teling them various stories of his life etc. has been cut out. Which to my mind when I have seen him live, was always part of his appeal and went towards making the concert that much more interesting and enjoyable. At the end of the day I presume these cuts were made to pack everything onto one DVD but having listened to the CD and the stories he tells, I would have rather paid more money to buy two discs and get the whole package.

John Denver was blessed with a voice so superb it seems unreal, utterly sublime. Many of the songs on this DVD are from when he was a World star, although in later years his star slipped somewhat. Country Roads, Rocky Mountain High, I'm Sorry and of course his big No1 hit in the UK Annie's Song. But one of the reasons I like John Denver's music so much was the lyrics, none more so than on Poems And Prayers And Promises, Sunshine On My Shoulder and the unforgettable For You.
This concert was at the later stages of his career when conservation was a big issue for him, and it seems he was way ahead of the times with all the global warming issues today. You are never going to get up and have a rave with John Denver songs, although a few are up tempo. No its for mellow times, his death was sad, but he left a glorious legacy of music for us all to enjoy.
