Thought this was short, only marginally well thought out, and still a decent story. Seemed like there were many more chapters aching to be written, but weren't, and I'm wondering why that is? Overall I liked it.

I have probably read a dozen of his books and enjoyed most of them--he's a writer that I know will do a 3-4 star job, so if I see one of this books I haven't read, I'll buy it. I say he is competent; I do not mean to damn him with faint praise--I know I will get a decent story and character that I will enjoy. But, he is not my favorite writer.
