Looks classy. Good and heavy, just like phones used to be. Okay, you don't get the modern additions that, say, a cordless digital phone has. However, you get style and substance. The base is a brick, so it stays firmly in place when you pick up the receiver. The chrome-like finish seems permanent, but I haven't had it long enough to judge. One niggle: the handpiece has a raised ridge on top, so it is hard to nestle the phone in your shoulder while talking. The sound quality is fine -- the earpiece gives a deeper sound than my digital phone. As a phone it works well, but you are buying this for the looks, which I think are grand.

I love this phone! Having tried all sorts of cordless ones that promise to do all sorts, yet inevitably seem to run out of charge after 10 minutes on a call (which really defeats the purpose of a cordless phone in my opinion), I decided to go for something that offers style over features. It looks amazing. It is perhaps not as heavy as I thought it would be and the handset does feel a bit more "plastic" than would be ideal, but as a piece of furniture, it fits in beautifully in my living room - it looks ornamental!
About all you can do with this phone is dial out and receive calls and that suits me fine. With my previous digital cordless ones that's all I ever ended up doing anyway! I love the ring tone - there is only one. So I don't know who's calling me - I can live with that. Because I can't move around the house with it, I am encouraged to have conversations while sitting comfortably on my sofa, which can be so relaxing. I am not a technophobe - I have an iphone and love the features that has, but for ease of operation and great appearance, this little beauty can't be beat! I'm thinking of getting another one for my study!

I love the fact after hunting for various cordless phones around the house when they ring, this phone stays put. It looks good and I have had lots of positive comments from friends on it. My only negative comment is the line is not as clear as my previous phone but this may be more the fault of my line and not the phone.

It does the job, and that's about all you can say. A bit too shiny and slick to be a real art deco reproduction, not convenient enough to compete with a modern digital.
