5.0 out of 5 stars quirky wonderful folk tale, 16 Aug 2005
By A Customer
My stepson, normally only seduced by stories of dragons and knights, LOVED this book. We have read it more than any of his others. It is the quirky tale of seven washerwomen who rebel against their nasty boss and in doing so discover their wild sides...only to be tamed by seven woodcutters (but not in a conventional way). Such strong women characters, Quentin Blakes's artwork is always such a joy, and John Yeoman is a great writer - such a wonderful book. 'Gee up Lysander!'
