Format: Hardcover
Wild Thing is one of the best exhibitions I have ever seen, a window onto a brilliant and challenging group of artsists decades before their time. The book is well-written and wide in scope, offering a lot of background detail and also acting as a history of the time. I've sent a few copies to overseas friends who had heard about the exhibition at the RA and they've also thought it was fascinating.

The reproductions of the works in this exhibition catalogue are excellent as are the archive photos of the artists. The text is also very well written and the catalogue can be enjoyed without having attended the exhibition. As a whole the catalogue vividly creates a sense of the context in which the works were produced and clearly conveys why they remain significant.

2 of 7 people found the following review helpful By Mr. Ross A. Ashmore on 13 Nov. 2009
Format: Hardcover
Thought the book was very light on content and overpriced for the hobbit format. Not enough images. General feeling it lacks depth. The front cover was not the one shown! General feeling the show at the RA may not be worth visiting. Feels like a mean book would not have bought.
