I bought these as a starter set for my four year old sons new castle, and both he and I were very pleased with them. I understand the previous reviewers disappointment with them - I wouldn't give them as a gift on their own either, but considering the price, I believe they are reasonable value. There is a good selection of characters - king and queen, a couple of archers, falconer and four knights in different costumes. All of the figures stand well, although one of the archers swords was a little long initially, and had to be trimmed. All in all, a good little set, and my son finds the cheap knights fight and shout just as well as his hideously expensive ones!

I ordered these for my son for xmas to go with his castle I also brought him. I was a little unsure to what they would be like as the other reviews were not great but was very pleased with them and dont understand why they haven't got a better rating. They are great value for money and think some people expect too much. You get what you pay for! Compare them to some you find in the toy shops and they are great value. My son loves them!

I was very disappointed with this toy. It was a gift for Christmas, and the quality was very poor. It was certainly not worth the price. The toys were badly paited, and did not even stand upright. I had to purchase another gift at the last minute as I was ashamed to give this as a Christmas present.

This set of medieval figures looks fine but none of them stand up properly.
