Format:Mass Market Paperback
I really enjoyed this book-I am a fan of her Dark series, and if you haven't yet read Dark Challenge, you're in for a treat!
This is a new series about a race who turn into leopards, and have formed a society deep in the jungle. Our heroine, Rachael, has fled to the jungle from the city as she is convinced that someone wants her dead, and fakes her own death in order to disappear. She meets Rio, a mysterious man who lives in isolation, unbenownst to her he is also one of the leopard people, and gradually they fall in love. I liked the way that only slowly do we get to hear about Rachael's past, and what has motivated her to flee. There are some pretty steamy sex scenes, as you would expect from Christine FDeehan, and a grand dollop of adventure as the two work against a host of enemies to secure rachel's saftey and happiness with Rio. Well worth a read!

Format:Mass Market Paperback
I like Ms Feehan's Carpathian books and I really liked her first in the Ghostwalker series so I thought this first in the Leopard series was going to be good too. Well, I was right: it was an enjoyable read. I thought the characters were interesting, the setting was a bit different because it was a jungle environment and there was a plot (which I saw coming from miles away).
The only problem was that I didn't want to devour the book. Good books make you want to snap at people who interrupt your reading and lash out at anyone who dares disturb you. I read this book lazing on the couch while my bf was watching television. For me, it means this book is not worth raving about, but is merely a good read. I'm not trashing it, it's an in-between book, written by the fabulous Christine Feehan

I've been a big fan of her Dark series, but I have to admit that they were becoming a little repetitive. Wild Rain is set in the rain forest and has excellent characters with believable and likable personalities. It is about the panther race and I believe shows as realistically as possible the kind of life we would expect a panther/person to live. The pace of the book is excellent and Ms Feehan reveals just the right amount of plot at a time. An excellent read which I greatly enjoyed, and eagerly await further novels for the other characters.

This could have been so much better
I bought this book this book in the hopes that it would follow along well to the first book in the series, found in the Anthology Fantasy. All I can say is total disappointment. Read more
