5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT MINI-SERIES. EVEN GREATEST SOUNDTRACK! 27 Sep 2007
By NeuroSplicer TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Audio CD
This was my first exposure to Ryuichi Sakamoto. And boy, was I blown away!!

There are actually two parts on this soundtrack: tracks 1-10 are orchestral, whereas 11-15 are vocalized songs.
The orchestral pieces are just MAJESTIC. I could argue that they might work better if one has watched the Wild Palms-MiniSeries but that is not exactly true. Most pieces are short yet they are coherent and blend beautifully together.

The 5 songs included are not at par. They are mostly hard-rock pieces, some older and some new. They may not be great but they do not ruin the mood either.

Musically framing future dystopias seems to be more tenable with orchestral music anyway..
