My first impression on receiving this book was that it was bigger than I thought it was going to be: it really is jam packed with the details of everything you'll need from production companies to freelancers and from festivals to stock footage. Each entry is just the right size and provides just enough information so that you can tell if they are what you are looking for. I have got one criticism, and that's that it has only just come out! I wish I had owned this book a few years ago, it would have saved me hours of trawling the internet looking for freelancers or production companies who may have offered me work experience! But nevermind, I have it now, and it will be staying within arm's reach!

Peters and Warren have done an exemplary job compiling this handy book which is positively bursting at the spine with information.

The book is broken down into sections offering contact details and profiles covering all aspects of the industry ranging from production companies, freelancers, stock footage, distributors, broadcasters, fixers, festivals, training, organisations, equipment sales, publications and so much more.

To any wildlife filmmaker this book is most certainly a must have item that should find its home in your camera case, next to your multitool - you've been warned don't leave home without it!

When I heard that this book was being written I knew I had to get a copy. It's a great idea and rather surprising that it hasn't been done before. Thankfully, it has now been done and has been done brilliantly. This is a comprehensive guide to pretty much everyone who's anyone in the wildlife film making industry and whether you've already got a foot in the door or you're still trying to open that door you'll need this book to help you in your career. Networking is key in this industry and this book gives you the contacts to help you, from freelancers to production companies. Money well spent.

This is a long-awaited publication which contains the sort of information normally only available after hours of internet searching, and even then I doubt you will end up with a fraction of the details this book contains. Whether you are a researcher, producer, director, camera person, editor, commissioner, narrator, writer, composer or sound recordist, whether seasoned professional or trying to get your foot in the door, this book is for you. It's pages lead you to more doors than any other publication of its type.
