I found this book a little slow. The characters were well described, regarding their looks and emotions, lust for one another etc but I wouldn't say they were particularly likeable as they are just a little too nice e.g. Zane is made out to be so amazing gorgeous and wonderful in every way possible, every womans dream and he knows it! Yuk! He sounded to me like a bit of a slime. Trying to make him sound too amazing, actually made him come across unbelievable. His whole family was perfect and wonderful too, happily ever after 2 dimensional types. yawn.
To put my review in perspective, I'm a happily married woman in my early thirties, I'm a londoner, so maybe this may have some to do with my opinion.
The book reads as if it was writen by a man, more from Zanes perspective. As a woman, I would've prefer it written from Tamara's perspective, especially as it is a romance and I'd prefer to read about the sex from the womans perspective, as a woman reading it, it would've been a lot sexier.
The emotions of love were well described, though it does describe Zane's thoughts and feelings a lot more that Tamara, again would've prefered Tamara's perspective. I feel that the story was unrealistic, too perfecty, immature, inexperienced for the age these people are meant to be and therefore took away from the book. It's all a bit wonderful and perfect (unlike real life) and therefore not very emotionally moving or very interesting. She's meant to be a gypsy and she's still not very interesting.
The thriller part was a little silly and felt a bit pointless, I was expecting more from the build up, suspense and also from the reader reviews!

As an avid reader; with hundreds of romance/thriller/crimes etc etc buzzing through my brain - I want Zane!! Lori fosters characters are superb. Both Zane and Tamara are funny, strong, vulnerable at times and very very sexy.
This book moves along at a fast pace; the characters who merely pop in and out to add substance - certainly do that - all of them being different, mostly crazy and often very funny.
A few good twists and turns with, as usual for Ms Foster, some well written steamy, passionate encounters (well one can always dream!)
If you havn't read her before and you like a fast, fun read with sexy lovable characters - who all have a well rounded sense of humour - give this one a try. You wont be disappointed and you will be back for more.
Her new one too Much Temptation is also worth a read its also very steamy, but not as much fun as Wild.

Its your classic gorgeous man meets shy gorgeous woman and, after solving a mystery, end by beginning a life of gorgeous bliss. A minimal story line does not take away from the heat generated by Lori Foster between our hero and heroine, and, for the reader, this couple's journey to happiness is a sensual feast. Lori Foster's writing style, all the better for the complete absence of euphemisms, ensures that within the reader's mind these two passionate characters want, and get each other, in vivid cinemascope and surround sound. I would reccomment this as a book that allows you to experience a stress free and uncomplicated escape from your life, if only for a few hours.

If you have not done so read the Winston brothers first. this however is the better book [maybe because it is longer so you get in to the story more]. Read more
