Fantastic drama and brilliant cast. The scenery is amazing, and so is the animal interaction and the scenes between the animals and the children. Stephen Tompkinson kind of reminds me of Dr Dolittle because he is so natural with the animals. The bond between the whole family can be heart wrenching at times, which makes for good viewing. Best all round family entertainment programme on tv. Not really seen anything else on TV with any of this cast so I was a bit apprehensive at first and did not watch it until I saw a couple of episodes from series four and then decided to buy series one, two and three on DVD because I got hooked. If you make only one purchase this year, make it 'Wild At Heart'

Coming from South Africa I really loved this series. It made me so homesick. Can't wait for the second series. There were a couple of unrealistic scenes but unless you've been there you would never know - apart from that very true to life in the bush - so hats off to the Producers and cast. Well worth watching

The content is wonderful - the navigation between the three episodes on each DVD is dreadful (the contents alone rate higher than 3 - the navigation scores less than three).
Only the first episode held on each dvd is shown within the scene selection on each disc - the other two episodes are only accessible if you select an untitled arrow immediately to the right hand side of the Main Menu selection at the bottom of the screen (which I thought was part of the link back to the Main Menu. After trying to find the episodes, I only found out how to access them after I sent an email to the distributors (and I bet I am not the first person to ask the question...).
The episodes for the second series are clearly identified within the main menu.

A blip - it happens...! But satisfactory outcome....
Having sat down to watch Series 1 of Wild at Heart which I'd ordered, it was a bit disappointing to find that disc 2 was a completely different film and nothing to do with Africa! Read more
