I heard a track from this album whilst in a shop. I liked it enough to go online to find out more, purchased it, and am glad I did. From the opening track-So Hot, it's the sort of music that makes you want to be there, dancing or just lying in the sunshine. An antidote to Britain's winter weather, if you buy it, it'll put a smile on your face, it's fun! Some tracks are gentle and dreamy, some more lively but all do it for me.

I've been a fan of David Lowe's work from my time in India roughly ten years ago when I was listening to the BBN, the only English channel on the TV in my hotel room. His work for BBC and his albums (TV Chill, and the Dreamcatcher albums) have continued to be regular elements of my music landscape. (I still really love "Seventh Heaven" and "Life"). This new album brings 21 new tunes that take us in a new direction to a very different place. These are polished and diverse yet they fit together nicely. I really liked what sounded like steel drums in the tune "Treasure Islands" and wished he could have featured them more prominently elsewhere in the album as well as some of the other unusual instruments from the region. The mix of rhythms, textures, and sounds (mostly instrumental), however, more than makes the album an excellent addition to my library and is definitely worth your serious consideration for addition to yours.
