About the Author

Iolo Williams was born in Builth Wells, mid-Wales, and lives today with his young family in Newtown. His career in conservation began as an officer for the RSPB, and his engaging personality secured a six-part series for him on BBC Wales called Birdman. His immense popularity as an authority on wildlife sparked further television series - Wild Wales, Wild Winter, Iolo's Special Reserves and Iolo's Welsh Safari and his diary for 2005/06/07 will see him travelling to many corners of the world on various wildlife explorations.
