I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found it to be such a great insight into the daily business of our law courts.
It made me laugh out loud when Charles describes various criminal characters he met in London all those years ago and got himself into all sorts of scrapes.
Charles manages to capture the feeling of pure fear that must have been felt when a young barrister starts his career.
He leaves the reader in no doubt about how difficult it is to judge a case and describes in some detail each location so that you can visualize each court room.
An excellent and educational read!
