Wig Begone is an exhilarating tale of Charles' early career with disaster often lurking round the corner and culminating in his own appearance in front of England's most notorious judge!
Charles Courtley (not his real name) qualified as a barrister in 1972.
From 1972 to 1990, he practised mainly in the criminal courts; both prosecuting and defending. He was then appointed a Judge Advocate(military judge) until his retirement in 2010.He has written short stories; two of which were produced for radio in London.
He now lives quietly on the Essex coast together with his wife and dog but maintains a close interest in legal affairs particularly sentencing issues.
He is,at present, adapting his novel into a sceenplay and planning a sequel to "Wig Begone" - a continuation of the adventures of Charles Courtley after he becomes a judge!
