Lily thought her life with Ronan was a dream come true. The day after their wedding the dream turned into a nightmare.
Ronan pursued Lily with only one purpose in mind. Revenge. Ronan’s plan is complete, now he just has to sit back and wait for it to play out. Only his plans didn’t include falling in love with Lily.
Kate Walker takes the reader on an amazing, emotional journey. By delving into the canyons of her character’s minds and hearts she is able to bring the reader along on every step Ronan takes from a bitter, cynical man to a man who finds forgiveness as well as love in his heart. Ms. Walker is a master at evoking an entire range of emotions from her readers, and should be on every true romance lover’s automatic buy list.

I have to disagree with the other reviewers because I read this book and really did not enjoy it. I skipped large sections hoping to find an interesting part. Kate Walker's word choices were often unnatural and pretentious with very unrealistic dialogue. I don't expect everything in a HP to be realistic, I know there aren't hundreds of billionaire princesses waiting to impregnate their employees, but I do appreciate believable conflicts and reactions which I didn't find in this book. You're not going to freak out at a small fire starting in a house but you go ballistic over tiny candles on a birthday cake, really? I never got to like Ronan and Lily was ridiculous, there are much better HP books out there.
Additionally, I don't review based on cover art, but what is up with that image? The hair, scary.

A compelling romance full of powerful emotions

If you're looking for a compelling romance full of angst, intrigue and powerful emotions so deep they will penetrate even the most hardened of hearts, then much loved author Kate Walker has just what you're looking for in Wife for A Day.
Ms. Walker never fails to draw her readers so deeply into her stories that they forget where real life ends and fiction begins. I know this for fact because there have been many times over the years that I have imagined myself either walking into the storyline and yelling at the characters, wanting to give them a good swift kick in the seat of their pants, or just wanting to give them a hug and kiss and tell them it will be all right. Thankfully, Wife for A Day was no different. Once again readers will appreciate not only Ms. Walker's innate ability to create characters with strong emotions readers can identify with, but her strong talent as well.
Wife for A Day is a truly satisfying romance by one of the most mesmerizing authors to ever grace the Harlequin Presents lineup, Kate Walker is an author who always manages to effortlessly steal readers' hearts around the world.
