A very poor, early Lynda la Plante effort I'm afraid; peppered with mistakes throughout, & poorly constructed.
I love her books normally, but this one was a big disappointment.

I'm a big fan of Lynda Laplante's writing, but didn't find this book quite as tense and gripping as some others. Advantage is that it is a fairly "quick read" so great for a plane journey or the beach.

I am a bit fan of Lynda La Plante and have read most of her books. This was easy to read and was in the style of Martina Cole.

I find Lynda La Plante's books intoxicating. She is the ace of story tellers. She makes each of her books come alive with a different setting and theme, thus not boring her readers with 'the same kind of story in a different cover' Her characters instantly become a part of the reader, whether villians or heros.

I enjoyed the TV series of Widows very much and the book brought back to me the memories of that great story woven around Dolly Rawlins. If you want to become engrossed in a good story, Widows fits the bill.
