Sometimes it just feels good being bad… A tale of intrigue, revenge and excess, perfect for fans of Tasmina Perry.

Playboy Casino owner and serial gambler, Tom Black, leaves a trail of broken hearts behind him wherever he goes. So when he disappears, it’s no surprise that foul-play is suspected.

The finger of suspicion points to three women from his past; Eleanor, the beautiful socialite with a dubious past, Loretta, the fame-seeking gold-digger, and Victoria, the glamorous, bestselling author.

Bound together by one man and his mayhem, it’s not long before secrets begin to surface, forcing the three women to take the biggest gamble of all. But in the game of love there can only be one winner – and the winner takes it all….

This glamorous tale is perfect for fans of Jackie Collins and Tasmina Perry.

More About the Author

I was born in Hampshire but grew up in London where I still live today with my two children. I was originally a dancer who re-trained after a 'disco accident' in Ibiza to become a journalist - I've even won some awards, though I don't like to talk about them - ha! I've been a women's lifestyle writer for over fifteen years and am the former editor and acting editor of the fabulous J-17 magazine and Smash Hits respectively and have written for all the major glossies including Grazia, Company, Marie Claire and More, where I was their resident tell-it-like-it-is advice columnist - loads of fun! I've also written for NME, Loaded and Front magazine (I can be down with the lads too!).

During my journalistic career I've seen and done some amazing stuff, highlights include becoming a nun (for a day), rally racing with the late, great Colin McRae, bunjee jumping off a 350 ft bridge in designer heels, whiskey tasting for a week in Kentucky (don't remember much of that) and hanging out with all manor of A-list celebrities (er, Take That and Jordan, anyone?).

After I had my son I started to write novels (having children does strange things to a person) and had my first young adult novel, Ibiza Summer, published in 2004. My first adult novel (it is a little racy) Chelsea Wives was published in 2012, followed by Wicked Wives in 2013.

When I'm not writing, which isn't often, I like to hang upside down on a pole - I'm a qualified pole fitness instructor, and drink fancy wine (though not necessarily at the same time, that woud be dangerous). I adore creating exciting, three dimensional, glamorous and flawed characters against a backdrop of exotic locations. Revenge, sex, sin, glamour, excess, crime and intrigue is my speciality. My next novel, title to come, promises all the above and more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Glamorous, addictive and dramatic! xxx 19 July 2013
By Megan ReadingInTheSunshine TOP 100 REVIEWER
Format:Paperback
I first discovered Anna-Lou Weatherley when I read her novel, Chelsea Wives, which I absolutely loved. And when I heard that she was releasing a new novel, I couldn't wait to read it!

Tom Black is a casino owner, serial gambler and has women falling at his feet. But when he disappears, it is unclear what has happened to him. Under suspicion are three women who have connections with his past: Socialite Eleanor, Loretta the power-hungry gold-digger, and the glamorous author Victoria who is still heartbroken. But beware...there are three determined women who will stop at nothing to get what they want...

The title of the book was brilliant...Wicked Wives...what a title! I can say it's one of my favourite book titles this year and it had me interested immediately. I was so excited about this book, and it was definitely worth the wait! As with Anna-Lou's last book, I was gripped straight away from the first page and I loved the story! I even took to staying up late at night in bed in a frenzy to get to the next part...quite frequently I could be heard saying "Oh just one more chapter!", but this is a book you won't want to put down!

I was drawn in straight away by the characters....wow they have been so well written! They are all quite complex but in a very intriguing way that makes you want to know more about them, their actions and decisions, and what makes them how they are. Anna-Lou Weatherley has done such a fantastic job with these characters, especially the women. She has created characters who have so many layers and depth to them, and there is always something happening, and they have their own little stories which makes it so much more fascinating to read!

To finish a book with a sly grin on your face and a shake of the head can only mean that the book in question is a bad girl's dream.

Wicked Wives is full of Witty one liners and a newer, harsher writing style that may be crass to some, but in this day and age is as refreshing as an ice cold glass of rosé on a summer day! Anna-Lou Weatherley has a way with words like the m&s food adverts. You know the ones, sexy, tantalising and exotic. Her descriptions are so thorough and faultless it makes the pages erupt and come alive. This book has a slap in your face opening prologue that continues slapping throughout every chapter. It's not even funny how much eye opening drama there is. It's like, Slap-murder. Slap-secrets. Slap-botched up cosmetic surgery. Slap-scandal. Slap- baby-loss. Slap-drugged orgies. And we're still taking about the beginning chapters here. It gives us a catalogue of completely versatile characters to sink our teeth into. All have been cleverly linked together which results in so much excitement you think you might burst. You know when you skip a few pages or skim read very fast to try get to find out the gossip? That's this book. Don't though, you can't, you will miss far too much by doing that. I'm seriously the most impatient person in the world so if I can do it you can too.

I loved the clever way the author writes from one character to the next, making you think it all ties into the before persons chapter. When sometimes it doesn't It brings a new type of excitement into reading which I really, truly appreciated. Kudos to Anna-Lou Weatherley for that.

Underneath the lies, secrets, death and debauchery lies a sad tale of love and heartbreak though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wicked, decadent and explosive 19 Aug. 2013
Format:Paperback
Every now and again I just love a good bonkbuster full of glamorous women with secrets to hide, rich men who get up to no good and sinful goings on. Usually when I'm after a book like this I would turn to the ever reliable Jackie Collins or Rebecca Chance but when I read the synopsis for Wicked Wives I knew I just had to see whether Anna Lou Weatherly would be able to live up to my expectations

Wicked Wives alternates chapters between characters, showing the story from all viewpoints which I love in a book. Not only because I get to know all the characters so much better but also because it helps with remembering who is who, which there are no difficulties with in this book. I loved the characters in Wicked Wives. Anna-Lou Weatherley knows exactly which characters we want to see from the glamorous, beautiful and rich to the conniving, scheming and money grabbing. All are thrown in the mix adding a colourful bunch of characters who I loved and hated in turn.

The plot twists, of which there are many, are set up in such a way that I didn't see them coming and was completely shocked on more than one occasion. Of course with this being a story of the rich and glamorous the story is daring and many of the characters get up to some down right dirty things but this is what we expect from this world and Anna-Lou Weatherley delivers it superbly. I loved her writing style and all her descriptions from the decadent places the characters go to the sex that they have to the exotic destinations they visit. I wanted to be part of the world while at the same time being grateful that I am not.

Wicked Wives is a fantastic beach read that you will want to take on holiday with you and devour in one sitting. A wicked, decadent, explosive read that will have you hooked from the first page to the last. I'm rushing out to buy Anna-Lou Weatherley's first book, Chelsea Wives.
