Couldn't put it down! Another cliff-hanger ending! 17 Sep 2011

This series has been incredible from book 1! There is non-stop action throughout and it's got tension-filled romance as well. Usually when there is a love triangle, I choose a side and stay there, but with this series I can't decide whose team I'm on. One book, it's hands down team Gage. Then in the next book I'm feeling bad for Logan. Now, even Marshall is growing on me!! Not to mention the suspense, which is KILLING me! I know the author has more books planned for this series, so I knew there would still be unanswered questions at the end. Addison Moore is not only an amazing author, but she's fast, which I think is probably one of the best things about her! She totally leaves you hanging at the end of each book, but she doesn't make you wait so long for the next one that you lose interest in the series or forget about everything you've read! The entire time I'm reading I'm thinking, How does she come up with this stuff??!! Oh, and a little tip for readers who are unfamiliar with this series... block out a lot of time before you start reading b/c you won't be able to put it down. I literally fell asleep with my Kinlde in hand sometime around 4 am. Woke up around noon, wiped the sleep from my eyes, grabbed my Kindle, and here I am. Can't wait for book 5!

Disappointed 11 Oct 2011

Loved the other books however this one seemed a bit flat and filled with teenage angst. It wasn't a pleasure to read instead it switched from being depressing to infuriating. To me, the story, rather than being interesting was pointless and didn't go anywhere.

4.5 Stars 27 Nov 2011

I'm going to have to agree with some others that this is not the best book in the series. It seemed like the main point to this one was to establish Gage and Skyla's feelings for each other. Which is fine, because there's always all kinds of crazy going on that Skyla has to deal with, and we need equal portions of relationship/character development with the crazy. My biggest problem is that there have not been many real conversations between Gage and Skyla, BUT I have to remember that I'm 30 and Skyla is 17; thus, I no longer have raging teenage hormones.

However, that is not the only plot in Wicked. A couple new characters are introduced and we do find out some new things. Yes, there are lots of questions that are still unanswered. Yes, there was a heck of a cliffhanger ending. This is a series folks, so those things are inevitable. We wouldn't look forward to the next book so much if everything was tied up nice and neat at the end of each book.

I don't think that the violence in the book is only filler as someone said. There are wars being waged. How unbelievable would it be if everyone/everything just left Skyla alone until the battle comes?

Oh, and I laughed hysterically at the Skyla hallucination chapter!

Before you rule out reading these books based on some of the bad reviews, know that a good many of the things people have complained about are not exactly true. Not to say those people are lying, but some have gotten the facts of the story a bit confused. I'm fine with the fact that some people will not like this story, everyone has their own opinion. I've just noticed that some of the reviews were a little misleading.

Wicked is not as fast paced or as bone chilling as the rest of the series, but it is still a good book. The author has said that many questions will be answered in the next book, Vex, and that Gage will be bolder as well. So, November 30th, I'm counting down the days!
