Product Description

Product Description

"Why Your Flight Attendant Hates You" is a humorous depiction of what a flight attendant goes through on a daily basis. It talks about situations that frustrate flight attendants, and cause disruptions in the air. It also talks about what your flight attendant has the power to do, and what they don't have the power to do. I will let you know, in simple terms, why you are not allowed to do certain things while flying.

I agree with everything and found it quite funny, apart from the chapter where she tells you not to fly when you are ill.
Trust me, I hate flying when I am ill but unfortunately the airline does not give a monkey. There is no way to reschedule your flight (unless you pay thousands for refundable tickets). Even when my husband was at intensive care and we did not know if he will live or not, the airline told me to claim money from the insurance - despite me having another persons to fly instead of us so it would only take a small name change! We were told 'tough luck', we cannot change name - unless he dies! .. and it was one of the major airlines.
So I am sorry to tell you but unless the airlines will change their policy, people will be flying if they are very ill as they cannot afford to buy another ticket just because the airline wants to earn more money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Flying low 29 April 2014

What I got from the book is this person doesn't like passengers. It was all about "poor old me" and to vent on about the passengers. I've been served by many flight attendants who are lovely, just glad I didn't come across this writer on a flight, would have scared the hell out of me. I wasted my money on this boring book.

Quite short and not as many anecdotes as I expected, but a nice, well written memoir, written in a very American style.
