Product Description

Product Description

Foreword by Alex Salmond, First Minister of Scotland. The traditional assumption of the hegemony of the three main parties has been challenged in recent polls and elections, with the percentage vote for smaller parties doubling, whilst support for Labour, Lib Dems and even the Tories is in decline. Similarly, in Scotland and Wales, the influence of the SNP and Plaid Cymru has never been more profound. Is the political landscape undergoing a dramatic shift that will manifest itself in the upcoming general election? In these concise, accessible volumes, expert politicos put forward the case for each of the main smaller political parties, exploring their policies, personnel, and commitments and looking at how each is likely to address issues facing these Isles.

I know it's not the usual, but having been involved in politics for a while, it still made more sense than the leaders debates all put together.
How the party of government in Scotland can be deemed irrelevant in an election defies understanding. If you are living in England and want to know why the Scots will vote for more control oer their own affairs in years to come read this.
