Product Description

Product Description

The traditional assumption of the hegemony of the three main parties has been challenged in recent polls and elections, with the percentage vote for smaller parties doubling, whilst support for Labour, Lib Dems and even the Tories is in decline. Similarly, in Scotland and Wales, the influence of the SNP and Plaid Cymru has never been more profound. Is the political landscape undergoing a dramatic shift that will manifest itself in the upcoming general election? In these concise, accessible volumes, expert politicos put forward the case for each of the main smaller political parties, exploring their policies, personnel, and commitments and looking at how each is likely to address issues facing the country.

This book is a superb overview of the Green strategy. The colossal issues that are facing us in the the next 50-100 years are only addressed by the Green sustainable strategy. The Greens have a long term view and a long term solution which is described in detail within this book. Environment, employment, human rights, waste, healthcare, transport, poverty and much more are covered in detail in this cohesive and lucid book.

If you are sick of current politics, if you despair at the dishonesty and lack of accountability, and are looking for a real workable solution, you should read this book, even if you have never considered voting Green before.

Why vote Green? This is a question Green Party activists and
candidates get asked all the time. Voters are looking increasingly to the
Greens because of widespread dissatisfaction with the conventional
way of doing politics.

In this book, I let the general reader know what the Green Party
stands for and say why there has never been a more important time to
vote Green. I begin by identifying our core values - exploring what
underpins our outlook - and looking at the Greens' current political
representation. I then elaborate our policies in response to current
political issues.
